I have been teaching in Collin County since 2014, and am essentially a one-stop shop.
I offer group classes for
- Beginner pistol (over 2000 students)

I am insured, and certified by both the NRA and DPS. I provide some services
for law enforcement, providing specialized training and qualifications for
Federal Officers and retired police. I try to set a high bar, and bring civilian
students up to a higher level than they expected. I have trained armed teachers in several
Texas school districts, including Palmer ISD and Melissa ISD.
I maintain a private outdoor range near Lake Lavon, with a large pond and some cows.
My students find this a very tranquil setting, yet it allows us to shoot while moving,
and learning new skills. Since we have to be outside the city limits for this level of
training, it is SE of Princeton, but everyone seems to agree that it was well-worth the trip.

I've had 3 sessions with Sandy - a "Learn to Shoot" pistols session, a private instruction
session, and the License to Carry proficiency test session. When I was first researching online
for a firearms instructor, I chose to go with McKinney Firearms Training for these 3 main reasons:
