For people who have not yet learned to operate a handgun, we offer this: "Learn to Shoot." Done entirely at a private range, we spend about 1 1/2 hours learning safety and fundamentals, and an hour in supervised practice. This is suitable for beginners and near-beginners, taught by an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor and NRA Certified Range Safety Officer. Thousands of students have taken this, our most popular class.

MFT was named to the "Best of McKinney Hall of Fame" in 2019.
I have never shot a gun and knew virtually nothing about gun safety before this class. Sandy is personable, helpful, and has extreme attention to detail which is so comforting when you’re handling guns. Before this class, guns were like the boogeyman to me and I was so scared of even being in the same room as one. With the help of Sandy’s class I learned that not only are guns not scary to be around if you know how to use them, but they are also fun! I recommend anyone to attend Sandy’s training class if you want a class that feels safe and an instructor that actually cares about their students!

I recently took the beginner class. There are some people that just connect and make exceptional instructors. Sandy is one of those. The information and training that we received was easy to understand and apply to our target practice, making each and every one of us successful. We walked away with knowledge of the type of firearm that was best suited for our needs. (we were able to try a variety of firearms). Thanks Sandy - I'll be back.
